Restructuring the NIAID Clinical Trials Networks
NIAID Town Hall Meetings and Workshops
In connection with the clinical trials network restructuring effort, NIAID plans to publish in spring 2012 a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) designed to solicit applications for the Clinical Trials Units (CTUs).
To assist potential CTU applicants, NIAID will host three workshops focused on the grant application and review process. The first of these workshops will be held July 28-29, 2012, in Washington, DC. The two remaining workshops are tentatively scheduled for Aug. 16-18, 2012, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Oct. 25-27, 2012, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

March 7, 2011, Meeting
On March 7, 2011, NIAID hosted a public meeting in Bethesda, Maryland, to discuss the development of a non-HIV/AIDS Leadership Group focused on bacterial antibiotic resistance, with the ability to rapidly address emerging infectious diseases.
