FACSCalibur

Description

The FACSCaliburs are located on the 3rd and 5th floors of the VRC and are capable of analyzing cells stained with up to four distinct fluorescent probes (typically, FITC, PE, Cy5PE or PerCP, and APC). Figure 4 shows the laser arrangement and the optical light path with selected filters for each detector (Photomultiplier Tube or PMT). Also shown are the other possible conjugates detected by the respective PMT. In addition, each Calibur is equipped with a High Throughput Sampler (HTS) that allows users to automatically analyze a variety of formats from standard 96 well plates to 364 well plates without intervention.
