Research Areas

The overall research aim of this Center is to organize a comprehensive approach to understanding the biological features of Amazonian malaria. The ICEMR focus will be on malaria epidemiology, vector biology and ecology, diagnostics, transmission biology, and clinical pathogenesis.

Regional Impact

It is anticipated that the lessons learned will contribute to the ultimate goal of global malaria eradication.
