Extramural Administrative Management Branch
The Extramural Administrative Management Branch (EAMB) advises the staff of the extramural programs regarding administrative policies and practices.
EAMB responsibilities include
Intramural Administrative Management Branch
The Intramural Administrative Management Branch (IAMB) is responsible for 1) serving as the coordinating point in handling all administrative or management actions or issues; 2) advising the director, Division of Intramural Research (DIR), and staff, as well as other key Institute officials, on administrative policies and practices; and 3) providing overall administrative support services to DIR, including financial management and budget execution, human resource management, travel management, program analysis, procurement and contract management, safety and security, and facilities management and operations. IAMB supports NIAID intramural research programs within DIR and is comprised of the Office of the Chief and three sections: two Operations Support Sections and the Management Support Section.
Management Services Branch
The Management Services Branch (MSB) provides advice and recommendations to the director, deputy director, executive officer, division directors, and other management staff on general management and administrative issues and policies for NIAID. MSB also provides advice on the development and implementation of regulations, policies, and procedures for NIAID and prepares staff papers and reports on general management issues at NIAID staff request and in response to National Institutes of Health and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requirements.

Vaccine Research Center Administrative Management Branch
The Vaccine Research Center Administrative Management Branch (VAMB) coordinates the handling of all administrative, management, and facility support problems associated with the Vaccine Research Center (VRC). VAMB advises the staff of the VRC director and other key officials about administrative policies and practices and provides overall administrative support services to VRC.
