Immediate Office of the Director

• Prepares news releases, statements, and other vehicles to communicate proactively about NIAID research findings and initiatives
• Helps the media find NIAID subject-matter experts and other authoritative sources of information on infectious and immunologic diseases
• Develops short- and long-term communications policies, objectives, and strategies to support the NIAID mission
• Produces written and audiovisual content for the NIAID website, intranet, and social media sites
• Writes content for brochures, pamphlets, and fact sheets on a variety of topics related to the NIAID mission
• Builds and sustains partnerships with appropriate patient-advocacy groups and professional societies
• Coordinates NIAID lectures, webinars, and press conferences
