The Office of Mission Integration and Financial Management (OMIFM) serves as the focal point for NIAID $4.5 billion research budget and financial management activities, and its mission-based strategic planning processes, which facilitates the identification and integration of long-range critical resource requirements (e.g., funds, people, facilities, and specialized research resources) into long-range plans to meet NIAID strategic objectives.

Resource Planning and Mission Integration Branch
Facilitates the identification and integration of long-range critical resource requirements (e.g., funds, people, facilities, and specialized research resources) of over 300 major research programs and initiatives into integrated and executable long-range plans at the Institute's major mission level (e.g., AIDS, Biodefense/Emerging Infectious Diseases, and Immunologic and Infectious Diseases [IID]). Also, conducts long-range statistical analyses and modeling to support scientific program operations and initiatives and to inform decision making.
