The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) conducts and supports research to better understand, diagnose, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. These ongoing activities bring us closer to solving the health challenges facing our nation and the world.
