R01 Application to Award Timeline for Initial Submission and Resubmission

This timeline tells you how long it could take for NIAID to fund your application (or resubmission if necessary). For a text equivalent, see the R01 Application to Award Timeline by Review Cycle.

* Expedited second-level review and funding occurs a few weeks after initial peer review. For other applications, NIAID starts funding after Council.

** Assumes you are resubmitting two peer review cycles later. New applicants are allowed to resubmit one peer review cycle later, but most do not.
