NPARS Module -- NIAID Funding Plan

Procedure

Program Officers

Use this module to:

• Determine which applications to consider for selective pay, MERIT awards, MERIT extensions, or R56-Bridge awards, before Council and usually after expedited review.
• Prepare tables for the pre-Council meeting.
• View applications that have been approved for funding, designated intent to pay but have not been paid yet, or awarded.
• Generate reports for each funding category after Council.

Budget and Financial Management Branch Staff

• Generate funding plans based on percentile, overall impact/priority score, or Institute priority for different activity codes and programs.
• Create release lists (lists of applications to be awarded) for grants management specialists and distribute the lists through email.

  Note that after selecting an application, a "P" code appears in the fund column, and the record turns light yellow.

General

Highlighted records generate reports for the division director and Dr. Fauci for the pre-Council meeting.
