Sample No-Cost Extension Notification to IC
Related Extramural SOP: No-Cost Extension SOP
Grantees registered with the eRA Commons will notify NIAID of their no-cost extensions in IMPAC. The new budget period and project period end dates are automatically entered into IMPAC, which emails a notification to the grants management specialist and the IC central email. Here is an example of the notification.

A Project Extension Request was completed by Signing Official: [GRANTEE SIGNING OFFICIAL] for grant: [GRANT NUMBER] associated with Principal Investigator [PI NAME] using the eRA Commons. The new project end date for this grant is: 04/30/2005.
This new date will now be reflected in IMPAC.
