May 15, 2008 GFMB does last major release of SBIRs and STTRs.
May 21, 2008 Last day to complete continuing interagency agreements.
May 27, 2008 Council.
May 30, 2008 All August noncompeting training grants awarded.

June 4, 2008 Program divisions EOY list to GMP and BFMB.
June 10, 2008

Program officer checklists due from program divisions for July 1 competing and noncompeting grants and Sept. 1 noncompeting training grants.

June 12, 2008 GFMB releases selective pay and NIAID R56-Bridge awards from May Council.
  Delinquent program officer checklists due (for all noncompeting grants starting July 1 or earlier).
June 13, 2008 EOY list approved by GMP and forwarded to OD.
June 30, 2008 GFMB begins releasing funds for EOY list.
  All May Council grants awarded.
  All noncompeting training grants awarded.

July 10, 2008 Program officer checklists due from program divisions for Aug. 1 competing and noncompeting grants.
July 16, 2008 GMP awards all FY 2008 SBIRs and STTRs.
  Last day for GMP and GFMB to approve Direct CAN Citation Agreements.
July 21, 2008 DEA sends expedited Council information to Council members.
July 28, 2008 Expedited Council approvals.

Aug. 1, 2008 Last day to complete new interagency agreements.
Aug. 8, 2008 Program officer checklists due from program divisions for currently released competing and noncompeting grants.
  All newly released program officer checklists for competing and noncompeting grants due from program divisions next day.
  Listing of unsolicited September Council grants to be funded this fiscal year provided to grants management.
Aug. 15, 2008 Last day for all grant awards, except EOY solicited grants.
  Last day for program divisions to submit information for Direct CAN Citation Agreements to the administrative office.
  Last day for program divisions to get applications within the projected payline, and scheduled for next fiscal year, funded during the current fiscal year.   Last day for cofunding documents to or from NIAID.
Aug. 18, 2008 Last day for September 2008 Council grants approved by the DEA director for funding FY 2008.
Aug. 20, 2008 Last day GFMB can release a grant with any of these issues: foreign bar, human subjects bar, research animal bar, or no paperwork to OLAW, OHRP, OER, or FIC.
  Last day to get approval for end of year early funding of applications that are scheduled for the next fiscal year funded in the current fiscal year. Program divisions send a memo to the DEA director for approval and copy GMP and the appropriate email group: NIAID DAIDSFunding, NIAID DAITFunding, or NIAID DMIDFunding.
Aug. 29, 2008 NIAID, OD approval of FY 2010 grant and contract initiatives.
September
Sept. 5, 2008 Last day of FY 2008 grant award actions.
  GFMB release of final reconciliation list.
Sept. 15, 2008 Council.
Sept. 26, 2008 Final reconciliation.
