To house data on extramural applications received (funded and unfunded).
Only government staff can access information in IMPAC II.
Requests for access for program division staff (DAIDS, DAIT, and DMID) go through your division coordinator who submits requests to the NIAID IC coordinators. Non-program division staff, requests go through your federal manager or federal supervisor who submits requests to the IC coordinators.
The IC coordinators also review accounts that have been inactive for more than 130 days and verify whether they are still necessary.
IMPAC II combines a relational database with query tools and business function modules. Only government staff can access information in IMPAC II.
Use IMPAC II to track and review data on grants and grant applications, including summary statements. Summary statements cannot be emailed to PIs. Instead, encourage them to register with the eRA Commons where they can view statements online.
To log into the eRA Modules, one of which is the QVR (Query View Report) system, insert your PIV card and enter your pin. NIH has made the two-factor authentication mandatory.
