To allow ICs to fund one or two individual research projects from a multiproject grant application that does not receive a fundable overall impact score.
NIAID may disaggregate a maximum of two research projects from a multiproject grant application. However, this is done very rarely, and only in accordance with NIH policy requirements and programmatic need.
NIAID may be audited for disaggregation use.
