Creating NIH Guide Notices

Standard Operating Procedure Table of Contents
Purpose
To create notices for the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, known as the NIH Guide, NIH's official publication for announcing the availability of NIH funds for research and training as well as disseminating policy and administrative information.
Procedure
The DEA Office of the Director must approve all NIAID notices, requests for applications (RFA), and program announcements (PA) and submit them for publication to the NIH Guide.
Applicants, PIs, and Staff
Go to the Guide for:
- RFAs and PAs.
- Notices that announce new or changed policies.
- Addenda to previous notices or initiatives.
- Findings of research misconduct.
- Announcements and synopses of solicitations.
To find NIAID-relevant RFAs and PAs, go to the NIAID Funding Opportunities List.
NIAID Staff
- All NIAID notices, requests for applications, and program announcements for the NIH Guide must be approved and submitted for publication by the Office of the Director, DEA.
- Submit initiatives and notices to be published in the Guide to
