Intramural NIAID Research Opportunities Program
NIAID training program for undergraduate, graduate, and medical students from underrepresented groups who come to NIH for four days of mentoring, seminars, tours of laboratories, and other career enhancing opportunities.

Minority Biomedical Research Support
Grants for colleges, universities, and health professional schools with 50 percent or more student enrollment from underrepresented groups. For more information, go to Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) Awards.
The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) runs the program, but NIAID funds projects within its scientific mission.

NRSA Predoctoral Fellowships to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research (F31)
NIH-wide program that provides a stipend and a limited amount of tuition funds to predoctoral students from underrepresented groups.

Research Centers in Minority Institutions
Grants to expand research capacity at minority institutions that offer doctorates in health sciences. National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities runs the program but NIAID provides funds for AIDS research. See NIMHD Research Centers in Minority Institutions Program.

Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research
Funding for institutions to support salary, supplies, and travel for high school, undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, as well as postdoctoral scientists and faculty members from underrepresented groups.
