Research Activities

NIAID currently supports basic, preclinical, and clinical vaccine research in a variety of areas.

• NIAID Division of Intramural Research Laboratories
  Laboratories on the NIH campus that conduct basic biomedical research on HIV and the immune system.
• Dale and Betty Bumpers Vaccine Research Center
  Laboratories at the Vaccine Research Center that conduct biomedical research to facilitate the development of HIV vaccines.
• Vaccine Assessment
  Information about safety laboratories, peripheral blood mononuclear cells processing laboratories, endpoint laboratories, and new technology/new assays.
• Vaccine Clinical Studies
  Information about collaborators, organizations, centers, partnerships, and programs that are currently conducting HIV vaccine research with NIAID.
