Volunteer for NIAID-funded clinical studies related to atopic dermatitis (eczema)
NIAID conducts and supports research to better understand, prevent, and treat atopic dermatitis, often referred to as eczema. These efforts include basic studies on the immune mechanisms that contribute to atopic dermatitis and its complications, as well as patient-centered research that explores the genetic basis for the disease and evaluates new strategies for therapy and management.
