The Laboratory of Allergic Diseases (LAD) conducts basic, translational, and clinical research focused on immunologic diseases, with an emphasis on classic allergic diseases including atopic dermatitis. LAD researchers currently are studying an innovative treatment for severe eczema called wet wrap therapy, which involves three baths a day. Each bath is followed by an application of topical medicines and moisturizer that is sealed in with wet cloths.
