Scientific Study Support at the Integrated Research Facility (IRF)

Picking appropriate computed tomography settings that will capture biomarkers indicative of disease severity and progression and disease and/or treatment outcomes.

IRF study support provides these services:

  • Pre-study planning consultation that defines realistic image quality assessment of qualitative and quantitative biomarkers
  • Coordination of subject readiness and initiation of an imaging study through a communication interface between the imaging team and Comparative Medicine Branch staff
  • Data storage, archiving, and transfer of various image formats
  • Basic image processing and quantitative analysis
