Updated July 2, 2019. We updated the three fellowship (F) paylines. All our paylines now have fiscal year status.
Paylines are the funding cutoff points for grant applications. Following the paylines, NIAID funds most applications in percentile (for R01s only) or overall impact score order (for others). Each fiscal year, NIAID sets the initial paylines conservatively and may fund additional applications beyond the paylines at the end of a fiscal year.
