Therapeutic Development Services

The Therapeutic Development Services program offers a collection of preclinical services to support the development of products intended for use in the cure, mitigation, diagnosis, or treatment of disease caused by a pathogen or certain toxins.

Main Areas of Focus

To support the development of products and diagnostic reagents directed against the full range of pathogens, including bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and other agents such as toxins and prion proteins. These products include:

  • Interventional Agents—therapeutics and new in vivo diagnostics for infectious disease-causing pathogens and/or toxins, such as imaging and skin test reagents
  • Biopharmaceutical Products—therapeutics that are derived from biotechnology processes, such as monoclonal antibodies and derivatives of monoclonal antibodies; recombinant proteins; peptides; nucleic acid based vectors (siRNA, plasmids); and live, modified-live and/or attenuated entities
