FluOMICS is part of the Systems Biology for Infectious Diseases program. The project is composed of a highly diverse team of investigators throughout the US who propose a systematic approach to generate predictive models of influenza virus pathogenesis.

Main Areas of Focus

  • To identify biomarkers for predicting pathogenic potential of new influenza viruses.
  • To predict which populations may be more susceptible to disease based on genetic variability.
  • To explore for new, host-directed, therapeutic interventions.
