New Employee Onboarding at NIAID

Welcome to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases! We are very excited to share with you the important work we do that affects not only our country’s health needs, but global health as well.

Through the onboarding experience, you will learn about the people, culture, and broader organization of NIAID. It is important to us that you feel prepared and supported and have what you need to become successful in your new position. Your onboarding experience begins now and extends beyond your new employee orientation through your first year at NIAID. Information and resources spanning your first year will be available on the NIAID onboarding intranet site, which will be introduced at the NIAID Orientation.

On your second day at the National Institutes of Health, you will attend the NIAID orientation—Navigating NIAID Welcome Workshop. Please see the Orientation section on this site for more information. Contact your supervisor prior to your first day to learn where and when to report for work following the NIAID orientation.

Welcome to NIAID! We are glad you have decided to further your career with us and look forward to meeting you soon.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the National Institutes of Health are proud to be equal opportunity employers.
