Although the 2021 NIH Virtual Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration ended on November 4, you can still access videos, slide sets, and transcripts from dozens of Seminar Session Presentations. Because the archive is public, you don’t have to be a registered attendee to take advantage of this unique learning opportunity.
As you will find at the link above, the sessions covered a wide array of topics such as award administration, grant writing, career planning, strategies for success, policy changes, human subjects research, peer review, and much more. NIH and HHS Presenters shared their expertise, guidance, and advice.
At NIAID’s virtual booth, we fielded questions in text chat, shared relevant webpages, and helped attendees find staff contacts for more guidance and advice. Check out the booth’s Resources for Attendees to learn about NIAID’s mission, sample applications, grants, contracts, and more.
Over 24,000 people from 118 countries registered for the 2021 Seminar and more than 15,000 participated virtually. Attendees also arranged over 500 “Meet the Experts” one-on-one meetings with NIH staff.
We encourage grants administrators, researchers new to NIH, and graduate students to attend a future Seminar for the full experience. You can ask questions during live events, network with fellow attendees, chat with NIH staff, and explore the many exhibit hall booths hosted by NIH institutes, centers, and organizations.
