Coming June 2023—Modernized ClinicalTrials.gov Website

Clinical trial researchers, get ready for the June 2023 launch of the updated ClinicalTrials.gov website and its new clinical information submission and management portal, the Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS).

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) based ClinicalTrials.gov Modernization efforts on user feedback to improve how visitors search, view, and download information about clinical trials. Use the preview at Beta.ClinicalTrials.gov to familiarize yourself with the PRS and other upcoming website features. You can also check out NLM’s ClinicalTrials.gov Beta Demonstration Video and PRS Beta Demonstration Video.

After launch, you will use the PRS to register your Applicable Clinical Trials on ClinicalTrials.gov and upload your data annually. The future holds further enhancements to ClinicalTrials.gov. NLM predicts PRS Beta Releases through 2024, updates to the ClinicalTrials.gov Beta Draft Application Programming Interface (API), and better website accessibility.
