NIH’s Data Management and Sharing Policy takes effect on January 25, 2023. The new policy represents a significant change, as NIH will require grant applicants to submit a data management and sharing (DMS) plan outlining how scientific data and any accompanying metadata will be managed and shared. Then, once funded, grantees must comply with their newly established plans.
NIH will host a two-part webinar series to break down what exactly the policy means for you and discuss key factors to consider when sharing data. The webinars are also a great opportunity to have your questions answered by NIH experts.
- Understanding the New NIH DMS Policy—August 11, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time
- Diving Deeper Into the New NIH DMS Policy—September 22, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Registration for each webinar is separate. Find additional details at A Conversation with NIH: Implementing the New Data Management and Sharing Policy.
