NIH is revising the NIH Sleep Disorders Research Plan, last published in 2011. Through the request for information (RFI) Response to Proposed NIH Sleep Disorders Research Plan Critical Opportunities and Strategic Goals, NIH seeks community feedback on scientific opportunities and goals to prioritize within sleep disorders research.

Of note, the RFI invites comments on how best to pursue basic and clinical investigations of sleep disorders related to acute COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection and Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19.

The RFI is also interested in the significance of sleep and circadian biology to immune function and the microbiome.

Follow the link above to review the RFI and submit feedback. The deadline to respond is May 31, 2021. Take care not to include any sensitive or confidential information.
