Biography
My research studies the molecular mechanisms underlying vector-pathogen interactions with the goal of characterizing novel compounds or processes that may be targeted to curb disease burden. We use techniques such as recombinant protein expression, liquid chromatography, transgenesis, immunofluorescent microscopy, and next generation sequencing to study the functions of candidate proteins in arthropod vectors to understand their roles in physiology and pathogen transmission. My research interests span across vector biology, arbovirology, and microbiology.
