Biography

Ms. Minai lends her broad expertise in gross tissue pathology and microanatomy in support of cutting-edge advances. Skilled in routine tissue sectioning in addition to histochemical and immunohistochemical staining techniques involving traditional laboratory animal models, Ms. Minai has become a technical expert in arthropod tissue processing supporting malaria, leishmaniasis, and tickborne disease research protocols. Other research collaborations include MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, influenza, poxvirus, Simian Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (SHFV), HIV/AIDS, West Nile Virus, muscle dystrophy, brain demyelination. An educational background in biomedical engineering and physics, Ms. Minai also has a special interest in supporting the needs of investigators through digital pathology.
