Dear New Employee:
Congratulations on your appointment at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)! On your second day at NIAID, you will be attending the Navigating NIAID Welcome Workshop (NNWW) at 5601 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please consult the enclosed schedule for specific dates/changes.
Please plan to arrive at Fishers Lane no later than 8:45 am. Have your HHS ID, photo ID, or another form of government issued ID ready to enter the building. If you do not have a form of ID, you will not be allowed building access. An Office of Workforce Effectiveness and Resources (OWER) staff member will be in the lobby to greet you and escort you to the Workshop location.
Once NNWW is complete, employees with a Fishers Lane duty station will be escorted to their work station. Non-occupants of Fishers Lane will be escorted to the lobby to return to their appropriate duty stations.
Parking and Directions
The Fishers Lane visitors parking garage is located at 12721 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD, 20852. The parking garage is managed by Atlantic Services group, and there are signs for Atlantic Services Parking. It is approximately one block from 5601 Fishers Lane. There is access to a walkway back to Fishers Lane from the third floor elevator/stairs in the garage. Parking validation will be provided to all employees attending NNWW. Public Transportation
The nearest Metro station is Twinbrook (Red Line), which is half a mile from the building.
