Biography
Dr. Ryan Gaudet grew up in Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province. After receiving his B.Sc. from the University of Prince Edward Island, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto for his work in the lab of Scott Gray-Owen studying innate immune recognition. For his postdoctoral work, Ryan joined the lab of John MacMicking at Yale University, where he switched his focus from the systems that detect pathogens to the machineries that eliminate them. In 2022, Ryan Joined the newly formed Human Tissue Immunity and Disease Initiative at Columbia University where his lab studies how cellular innate immune effectors are anatomically compartmentalized to support tissue-specific immune responses.
