Biography
Dr. Kyla Ost is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Her lab aims to understand how intestinal immune environment alters the pathogenic potential of commensal fungi. Kyla earned her Ph.D. at Duke University in 2016 and then completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Utah. As a postdoc, she discovered a key role for mucosal antibodies in regulating Candida species in the gut. Kyla established her independent research group at the University of Colorado in 2022.
