Dr. Bernadette Alisantosa is a scientific program manager overseeing research support specialists at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She is also the veterinarian for Building 14DNR and the Building 50 shared animal facility supporting the animal care of the NIAID, NIDCD, NEI, NHGRI, NIDDK, and NHLBI institutes. Dr. Alisantosa is an ACLAM-boarded veterinarian with 30 years of experience in laboratory animal research in variety of animal species such as nonhuman primates, pigs, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, woodchucks, zebrafish, and trout. She has a broad research background in comparative medicine, infectious diseases, and animal models. Dr. Alisantosa's experience including functional and project management with outstanding records of building strong teams and meeting AAALAC accreditation and cGLP standards. She is able to meet or exceed regulatory agency requirements: USDA, AWA, CVM/FDA, PHS, NIH, EPA, IACUC, IBC, CDC, and DEA regulations. Dr. Bernadette Alisantosa completed her MPVM degree at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She is an Institute of Laboratory Animal Management (ILAM) graduate.
