Systems Approach to Immunity and Inflammation

The Systems Approach to Immunity and Inflammation Program conducts forward genetic screens of mutant or genetically diverse mice, combined with systems level analysis, to identify previously unappreciated key immune regulatory genes, signaling pathways, or mechanisms; and includes validation of these pathways in human cells and tissues.

Main Areas of Focus

  • To advance our understanding of immune response dynamics following infection with a pathogen or administration of an adjuvant or vaccine
  • To provide foundational information that can be applied to the development of novel translational approaches for production of vaccines or immune-based therapeutics
