The nonprofit organization CRDF Global is accepting research proposals from U.S.-, Japan-, and other Regional Asia-Pacific (APac)-based investigators in the field of infectious disease and immunology research for the U.S.-Japan Cooperative Medical Sciences Program Collaborative Awards, 2021.
The purpose of these awards is to foster new or expanded infectious disease and immunology biomedical research collaborations among investigators and institutions in Japan, the APac region, and the United States. Proposals should center on questions directly related to the APac region with potential to add to global knowledge about infectious diseases and immunology.
Collaborative research teams consisting of investigators from the United States, Japan, and other APac countries are eligible to apply. This award program aims to promote inclusion of early-career and female scientists in collaborative research.
This initiative is jointly conducted by CRDF Global using funds provided by NIAID and the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development. CRDF Global will make six to eight awards for two-year projects, each up to $60,000 in total project costs.
