The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to invite applications for the Developmental Centers for AIDS Research (D-CFAR) program to provide administrative and shared research support to enhance HIV/AIDS research. D-CFARs provide core facilities, expertise, resources, and services not readily obtained otherwise through more traditional funding mechanisms. Additionally, D-CFARs provide support to assist investigators in the development of a competitive standard CFAR. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration across all areas of HIV/AIDS research.

NIH Medical Scientist Partnership Program (FM1 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The purpose of the MSPP is to develop a diverse pool of combined-degree students (e.g., MD/PhD, DDS/PhD, DVM/PhD) who have conducted their PhD dissertation research at research laboratories in the NIH Intramural Research Program. The recipients will receive rigorous training in the basic, translational, and clinical biomedical sciences to prepare them for leadership positions in biomedical careers.

A phase 2 open-label study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ruxolitinib on hair regrowth in patients with autoimmune polyendocrinopathy candidiasis ectodermal dystrophy (APECED)- associated alopecia areata

The purpose of this study is to see if a study drug (ruxolitinib) can help hair regrowth in people with autoimmune polyendocrinopathy candidiasis ectodermal dystrophy (APECED)-associated alopecia areata (AA) and if it can improve other symptoms caused by the immune system s attack to the body.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI)—Advancing Research Needed to Develop a Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever) Vaccine

The purpose of this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) is to highlight NIAIDs interest in supporting research in the areas outlined in the NIAID Strategic Plan For Research To Develop A Valley Fever Vaccine. The proposed research should have clear relevance to the strategic priorities defined in the strategic plan, which encompasses three major research areas: 1) address gaps in Coccidioides basic research to support the development of a vaccine; 2) develop tools and resources to support vaccine development; 3) develop and advance vaccines to prevent coccidioidomycosis.
