Join a Clinical Trial

Through partnerships in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area, the NIAID PACT team connects local health care providers and patients with NIAID researchers at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. PACT team members offer the following services to help the process:

  • Provide community providers with information on research studies that are currently recruiting patients
  • Educate patients and providers about clinical research
  • Meet one-on-one to address any fears and concerns about participating in a clinical trial
  • Communicate with the patient’s primary care provider
  • Collect necessary medical records to evaluate the patient’s eligibility for the clinical trial

The NIAID PACT team may also provide the following to study participants:

  • Transportation to and from the NIH Clinical Center
  • Orientation at NIH and accompaniment to appointments
  • Language interpretation
