  • Oversees extramural policy and special extramural administrative initiatives
  • Coordinates Council operations
  • Performs outreach to the extramural community and staff through internet and intranet sites and newsletters
  • Performs initiative quality control, phasing, and clearance for policy issues
  • Handles initiative phasing
  • Oversees committee management functions
  • Coordinates small business awards and special projects
  • Serves as point of contact for research integrity
  • Participates in the development of policies for managing international research awards
  • Oversees research training policies as well as minority research initiatives
